What is Reiki?

Reiki is a natural form of energy healing, used to combat a wide range of physical and emotional problems and underlying causes of disease. Energy is channeled by the practitioner and directed through the hands to wherever it is needed.

What Are The Benefits Of Reiki?

Reiki has both physical and emotional benefits. By relaxing the body it increases the flow of internal energy, promoting balancing and healing effects on all major systems of the body.

People generally tend to feel much less stressed, more energized and much more focused. Life seems clearer, and life's purpose is more apparent. 

How Long Does A Reiki Treatment Last?

Reiki treatments generally last for about 45 - 60 minutes, though sometimes longer treatments are required - this depends on what is needed by each individual client. The first Reiki treatment usually lasts around 90 minutes as we complete interview and treatment forms with you to establish how we can best help you.

Can You Treat Any Condition With Reiki?

We have provided Reiki treatments for many people with a wide range of illnesses and problems, including: stress, depression, bereavement, back pain, spina bifida, ME, arthritis, sports injuries, broken bones, sciatica, ankylosing spondylitis, nerve damage, cancer.

A complete cure can never be guaranteed with any form of medical treatment or healing method, but Reiki treatments will help, whether in a physical way or an emotional way. In some cases a physical problem will be caused by an emotional trauma and once that is healed the physical pain dissipates also.

Can You Treat Clients With Medical Conditions?

Where a client is receiving medical treatment, we will, if required, work with the client's doctors to ensure we give the best and most effective treatment possible. In all cases we will never contradict or go against a doctor's advice.

Can Reiki Complement Other Treatments?

Reiki works well with and enhances any form of healing treatment. Clients usually feel the difference in the treatment they are receiving and therapists often offer Reiki healing as an additional treatment..

What will happen during a treatment?

The treatment begins with an informal interview to determine the conditions that need treating. Then the client lays fully clothed on a treatment couch with their eyes closed. The practitioner places their hands in various positions above the client's body directing energy where it is needed.

Experiences of Reiki are individual but many people often comment of feeling at the very least intense relaxation, clarity and serenity. For others Reiki is a life changing event.

I'm feeling slightly under the weather. Could it give me a 'pep-up'?

Yes. If you require a treatment simply to make you feel more energised or to help you relax and unwind the frequency of the energy used can be tailored to do just that. You often find that you will feel much more relaxed, tranquil and healthier for days afterwards.

How else can it help me?

Reiki deals with the root causes of all your physical, emotional and spiritual problems. Often physical illnesses are a symptom of emotional trauma. By eliminating the negative energy and feelings attached to your emotional traumas Reiki enables you to develop yourself in a positive way. Reiki can be used on any illness with often amazing results such as: cancer, arthritis, stress, depression, muscle damage, broken bones, allergies, addictions.

Would it be worth trying even if I don't have any specific 'problems'?

Yes definitely. Reiki can be used purely as a wonderful relaxation session. There are very few people who have no emotional issues whatsoever. It heals on a very deep level to remove the negative energy associated with traumas that the client may not even be aware of.

Will I need dozens of treatments or will one be enough to sort me out?

It is difficult to generalise, but most conditions take between one and ten treatments (illnesses like cancer and addictions have to be treated for the duration of the condition).
